CO2RE Intima: Pre-Treatment Instructions:

Start your 3-day course of antiviral medication 1 day prior to the procedure.

Shave or trim hair in treatment area 2-3 days prior to procedure.

Make sure that your Pap Smear is up to date and that we have record of this.

Refrain from intercourse 24 hours prior to the procedure.
- Using a tampon the day of the procedure can be helpful if there is a lot of vaginal discharge.

CO2RE Intima External: Post-Treatment Instructions:
- Immediately after treatment, most patients will experience a clinical endpoint of erythema (redness) for 1-3 days, however for more aggressive treatments this may last longer. Slight to moderate edema (swelling) and a mild to moderate sunburn sensation are also common post treatment and may last a few weeks. Skin will begin to flake at 5-7 days.
- Before discharge a topical ointment called Aquaphor will be applied, no bandages or wraps are necessary. This can be applied as many times a day as needed and before bed to keep the skin moist.
- For more aggressive treatments, your provider may prescribe the use of vinegar soaks to be applied 3 – 5 times a day for the first 3 – 5 days until redness decreases. 1 part vinegar to 9 parts water.
- No hot showers for 24 hours. Treat the skin gently, do not scrub or pick the treated area.
CO2RE Intima Internal: Post-Treatment Instructions:

After the treatment you may apply a water based mild lubricant or Aquaphor.

Gently cleanse the area with mild soap with water twice per day.

Avoid sexual intercourse for 7 days.
- No tampon use for 7 days.
- No tub baths, Jacuzzis, or swimming until skin is completely healed. No douching for 7 days.

Estrace vaginal tablet/cream: stop 3 days before treatment and wait 1 week to continue.
