Smart TCA Peel
Smart TCA Peel:
- Hold the use of retinols, prescription tretinoins, or other vitamin A derivatives for 5-7 days prior to the peel.
- Avoid all sun exposure and tanning beds prior to treatment. **Any sunburn, tan, or any other changes in skin pigment will result in rescheduling your appointment.

Please shower or bathe the morning of or night before the treatment. It is encouraged to not wash the face post peel to all post peel products to maximally penetrate.

Post-Treatment Instructions:
Patients can expect an average of 7-10 days of mild to heavy peeling.
It is NOT encouraged to wash the face for 6 hours post peel to allow post peel products to maximally penetrate.
- NO EXCESSIVE EXCERCISE, SWEATING, OR SAUNA USE FOR 48 HOURS POST PEEL.
- After the first 6 hours, gently cleanse the skin with “Simply Clean.” Apply to fingertips and gently cleanse in circular motions over the face and neck. Do not use a cloth or cleansing device. Rinse with cool water and pat dry. Follow with “CE Ferulic,” Advanced RGN-6, sunscreen if daytime, and HydraBalm. **Continue post peel routine until the skin has completed peeling.
- Apply HydraBalm as needed when feeling dry or tight, or as new raw skin becomes exposed.
- When skin is on the downside of peeling, you may switch from HydraBalm to “Epidermal Repair.”

The use of sunscreen is MANDATORY to prevent hyperpigmentation or damage post peel.

As tempting as it may be, DO NOT PEEL SKIN off. If you have skin that is hanging off, you may use a pair of small scissors to trim excess skin. Peeling skin off prematurely can cause scarring and/or post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
- Avoid active ingredients such as alpha and beta hydroxy acids, and all vitamin A derivatives such as retinol and prescription tretinoin for the duration of peeling, and 5 days after.
